10 weeks! (and before..)

So now that everything's out in the open, I can start my little pregnancy/baby blog :)

First, can I just say how stinkin excited I am!! It's funny, about a year ago Zack and I were good friends, working at starbucks together.. joking about how we were such awesome people, that we'd do the world a favor by having a kid together. .... And here we are today doing just that! "Baby Barista" as Chrissy likes to say, hehe. Hearing everyones' reactions were hysterical for us. My favorite reactions are Steph Duff's when we were walking one day :) And Comer's comment about the baby getting my toes - I was laughing SO hard at that! Also Brad Baird's cuz he kept staring at my stomach like he wanted to stab it hahah

 (sidenote: Ski, you really made my night calling me yesterday.. so good to hear from you!)

So anyway, I'll be honest - when we first found out, I went all Juno... chugged some juice and peed on three sticks to be sure before we went to the doctor. I was a little scared at first since Zack's still in school but he looked me in the eye and said so calmly, "We were planning on this eventually. It's just happening a little sooner than we thought.. everything will be just fine." It took me a couple days but he's right. And I love him for never doubting any of this :)

Plus, the factor in all of this that makes me the happiest, is that my mom gets to be a grandma! Grannie Jannie didn't think she'd get to with her terminal cancer diagnosis. She even jokingly told Zack and I to get started over the summer... jokes on you, Grandma, cuz we did!

So, if you're wondering how it's gonna work with him at BG, he gets out the first week of May and will do his summer classes online, practicum and internship somewhere around Dayton so he can be home in time for the baby! ... then he'll graduate in December after the internship is over. I'd rather him be gone during the pregnancy than when the baby's here, that's for sure. Let's hope that internship turns into a job too!

Moving on... I'm 10 weeks along today, woop woop! Due date is June 25th and we should find out the sex around Valentine's Day. How fun!!! I had my ultrasound last night, and since Zack is in BG, Grannie went with me and I think she was more excited to hear the heartbeat than I was! Don't worry, he gets to go to the next one on December 30th :)

Luckily, the fatigue part is starting to wear off already and I'm finding that I have my energy back a little. I've never had actual morning sickness, but I do get nauseous from time to time and feel better after laying down for a bit. It's been a pretty easy pregnancy so far! Maybe it's foreshadowing for having an easy baby ;)

Baby blob is telling me it's almost time for bed, but here are my 10 week pics of the ultrasound and of my bloated belly bump.. Prego pictures are cliche, but I love 'em. Plus my pants are starting to not fit well, so that means it's picture time - right?
