So then Baird thought of doing our favorite reactions when people found out we were pregnant. We had quite a few funny reactions so here they are:
Number 3's
(Zack) Erin's. We called to tell her (his lifelong neighbor and friend), and she said, err.. shouted excitedly.. some mixture of the following: "ARE YOU KIDDING? YOU BETTER NOT BE LYING! ZACK DON'T PLAY WITH ME! WHAT?! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!"
(Mine) Steph Duff's. We were walking at the track one day and after about 30 minutes of gabbing, I said "Oh I'm gonna have to cancel our walk Wednesday because I have an ultrasound." She (not knowing I was pregnant) just stopped in her tracks, squatted a little while simultaneously throwing her hands up to her face and shrieked, "YOU'RE PREGNANT!?!?!?! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" hahaha.
Number 2's
(Mine) Levi. I said, "Hey Levi, I have something kind of important to tell you." "What." "You're gonna be an uncle." "Whaaaaat? You're having a BABY?" "Yes I am." After a few seconds of pondering this he asked more enthusiastically, "ZACK'S GONNA BE MY BROTHER?!!?" ...... Levi knows what matters.
(Zack) His dad, Rick.... Background info: We bought him a puppy for X-mas and gave it to him early. Rick couldn't decide on a name for the longest time, then came up with Jake. We gave him a ton of hell for naming his dog that.... So anyway, earlier in the day that we decided to tell everyone, we had been thrifting and found a baby name book for like 50 cents. Later on at the Amvets in front of everyone, Zack handed Rick the book and Rick immediately said, "I'm not renaming the fricken dog!!!" We all just started laughing until he finally figured it out. He looked at Zack, looked at me, and said, "You're fricken kidding me." Then was speechless with a smile plastered on his face from ear to ear for the longest time :)
Both of our Number 1's
Zack's sister Steph.... We waited like 3 weeks after telling everyone before we told Steph because that girl can NOT keep a "secret" for the life of her. So when Zack finally decided to tell her, he told her it was a secret and she wasn't allowed to tell anyone just to see how long she could keep it in. It lasted a few hours. When she got to the Amvets later that night, one of the ladies asked her what she thought of me. She said, "Oh Jessa is awesome! But... you know...(signing baby in sign language)." Zack's mom was like, "Stephanie! You know that's a secret!" Steph's reply: "But Mom, I'm not telling, it's SIGN LANGUAGE." bahahhahaha.
Since we both had the same number one, I don't want to jip you out of stories, so I'll include Zack's cousin Brad's reaction. Zack told him I was pregnant and Brad was speechless. He also couldn't make eye contact with me for more than half a second. He just kept looking at Zack, looking at my stomach, back at Zack, back to my stomach... clenching his fists the entire time. Later he said his first reaction was to punch me. hahahaha, thanks Brad for lookin out.
With that, I'll leave you with a 12 week picture update, although there's not a whole lot of change. (ignore the messy bathroom)You can tell a little (I think) that my tummy is starting to get a little firmer and pudge out a little.
No weight gain since the last post says my at-home scale. But I have an appointment tomorrow for blood work and some other random stuff, so we'll see the official weigh-in!! I can't believe I'm already 3 months along... well officially on Thursday. woooo!!! :)
