names, names, names...

With the big ultrasound right around the corner to find out the sex of little blob, Zack and I have been thinking of names more than ever...

We do have the boy name pretty much picked out.. we're 90% sure if it's a boy, we'll go with Wyatt Michael Baird. The meanings of Wyatt include "little warrior", "peaceful", "brave." (We've had that one picked since I was about 6 weeks pregnant haha)

Our other boy names are:

Evan = God is good

Wesley= the west meadow or from the west field

and Mason = stone worker.

(Michael will be the middle name for any)

The girl name is where it gets tricky. Before I was never the secretive type about it, but the more judgemental comments and negative looks I get when revealing some of our girl name list.. the more I'm changing my mind about spilling. It's funny how others' thoughts can have an effect on your thought process through it all. Also irritating. Which is exactly why Zack and I decided to keep our most favorite names to ourselves, until we know for sure.

I will still share the list, but in no particular order... :)

Charlie = free man

Gretchen = Pearl (Pearl happens to be my g-ma's middle name)

Maya = may

Ryan = king ... we were on a boy-for-girls name kick

Amelia = to strive/excel/rival

Gwen = blessed ring ... not short for anything, just Gwen

(If it is a girl the middle name will be Elizabeth, after my mom's middle name.)

I'm assuming we'll find out sometime within the next three weeks. I have an appointment Tuesday (25th) for my 18 week checkup, but Zack can't make it b/c of class. So if they can tell that early.. I'll probably just wait until he makes it to the next one. Which should just be two weeks from the 25th. I'll keep the updates coming. Pregnancy is still easier than I thought it'd be and I hope it stays this way :)

I'm off to kill this chocolate craving. Hopefully it doesn't stick around for too long.. gross!
