hangin out with GiGi 

oh I'm such a slacker! Almost a month since I've updated... sheesh! In my defense, I started working again... It's supposed to be a part-time position around 20-25 hours a week so I can be home with Wyatt as much as possible, however I definitely have more than a couple overtime hours for my first check! Which GiGi doesn't mind at all b/c she gets tons of time with the babe. Some days it stinks because Zack has been working mostly evenings, and I work early mornings so we've gone up to 3 days of seeing each other only when one of us is sleeping lol. But at this particular moment in time, this is my last day of work until Saturday so we'll get some good time together this week.

PLUS we're taking a day trip to BGSU on Thursday :) I'm so excited to see my little Aimee and my Starbucks bff Leigh! And of course everyone else.. I hope we get to see everyone we want to! If not, Zack is planning on going up for Homecoming in October so he'll get to see a lot of his friends then. I'm staying back with Wyatt though to attend one of my oldest friends' wedding... yay Linds!!! I'm so happy for her.

Now on to the baby news:
Munchkin LAUGHED the other day!! holy oh-em-geeeee!! Earlier in the evening, Wyatt was sleeping in my arms while I was rocking him and he let out a little chuckle - Zack and I laughed so hard. But later in the wee morning hours, after Munch was fast asleep after his feeding, I laid him back down in his crib..... crawled into my bed... and literally 2 minutes later - he let out a little giggle!!! He musta been having some funny dream! I about crapped myself but couldn't do anything else but laugh! OH my heart melts still just thinking about it.

He's so friken big now.. I'm anxious to get him to his 2 month check-up to get his official height/weight stats. (YES he'll be TWO MONTHS ALREADY- on Friday!)  I'm pretty sure he's already 24 inches long or more.. which means 3 more feet and he'll be taller than me already. lol.Chances are, this will occur before his 5th birthday.
Nonetheless, he is a little FATTY! I've noticed a huge growth spurt in the last week. I'm not sure if it's just his age or that he's been keeping his meals down better after his chiropractor visit....(he had 3 ribs out of place!!) but eat, eat, eat... that's his hobby. Well, and trying to get his thumb in his mouth. Those two activities, plus sleeping, are all he does all day. He is starting to talk to us more.... my gosh is it precious. I'll have to try and get a video up later this week when I have time to record him. I love coming home from work and asking him about his day - his little sighs, coos and grunts are hilarious. Kid has impeccable timing and is going to be able to make anyone laugh.. just like his daddy :)

I'm super excited to get working on the little play table I bought for Wyatt.. It's a little retro table that I paid 10 bucks for from a craigslist ad. I'm going to repaint it and coat the top with chalkboard paint so when he starts drawing he'll be able to write on that and not my walls ;) I have a few other projects too that I'm gonna be working on when I actually have a day off work... I bought a 1950's, very solid, locally-made (St. Mary's,) desk for 40 bucks that needs refinished. It's gonna be beautiful when I'm done. I think I'm going to do a two-tone finish to show off the detail in the drawers. Hmm.. we'll see...

I also have been creeping around online when we're slow at work (like now while I blog)... and have a few diy projects that will cost me $0 to minimal to do since my handy-man dad has tons of supplies in our barn. I'll definitely be posting pics of those as they come along. My goal is to be super good at this and sell some of the pieces.. but I'm finding that I really like the pieces I get and I won't want to sell LOL.. oh well, at least our house will be furnished whenever we actually move out of Janet's house.
