Exhaustion. This occurs when your child discovers that crying equals comforting. Exhibit a: three of the five past nights, wyatt has screamed and cried and fought going to sleep in his crib as if he was on fire.. in hell. Seriously.

Now our bedtime routine is pretty simple... Sleepy head starts whining and lets me know it's about that time... He eats one last time to fill his belly, diaper change, pj's on, rock for ten minutes or so, he passes out and off to the crib we go, "comforting" heart beat noise or random melody from the mobile turned on. Except the last few nights have been extended to include whimpers and whines... To which we wait out to see if he can put himself back to sleep. WRONG. Next come the screams like, "hey lady! I know you're supposed to pick me up when I cry!" So after ten minutes -give or take (that feel like eternity), we'll go over and plop a bink in his mouth or switch the position he's laying in... all to no avail.

Lord have mercy on us.

Well judge me because I can't handle hearing my kid scream for fifteen minutes straight. Eventually one of us will finally give in and get him. To which he immediately settles down and will usually fall asleep in our arms.
Repeat from laying in crib..

Sigh.

Let's hope tonight is better but I just got home from work and he's asleep at seven pm.. Crap. So I doubt the nine o'clock bedtime is happening. Oh well. Daddy is home tomorrow so he can stay up with him tonight :)
wy also has a chiropractor appointment this week (go ahead and judge me again) so  maybe something else is up.. Guess we'll see!
