I'm so THRILLED we're having a little guy.. but the suspense yesterday during the ultrasound was killer. We had a student doing it, and she kept messing up measurements and then Wyatt's legs were crossed so they couldn't tell. (Plus the supervising ultrasound tech's name was Gretchen.. and I thought it was a sign it was gonna be a girl b/c Gretchen used to be our fav girl name.)

But then he would completely flip sides whenever I laughed, so finally they saw this and said "OH wow, it's DEFINITELY a boy!" haha!

A little bit later through the ultrasound, they said he had his little hand down there too, bahaha.. typical.

The COOLEST part of the ultrasound was feeling the baby move, and being able to watch it on the screen as well. It was wicked awesome.

But, needless to say - the old wives' tales ended up being accurate in our case! Well, the majority haha. The one heart rate one we weren't sure about, but before they revealed the sex they measured it. It was around 130bmp and I looked at Zack and said BOY! It was right :)

Now I just want to fast forward through the rest of the pregnancy and hold this little dude in my arms!! Zack came to my classroom yesterday and it always melts my heart to watch him play with the kids.. I can't wait to see him with our son. He's truly going to be the best daddy :)



Oh and G-ma Janet is ecstatic beyond words- she sent me a text today saying we probably won't need a baby shower because she accidentally bought so many things today, hehe. Grandpa Paul bought Wyatt a little Hawaiian shirt and shorts with surfboards on them too.. hehe. They are so cute. and so excited to be grandparents. So are Zack's parents too. His mom couldn't keep her hands off of my little belly when we saw her last night. I love it.

Wait, let me clarify... I love the excitement for the baby. I'm not a fan of people touching me yet. lol.

So anyway, Zack's coming home this weekend and I can't wait to go shop on Sunday!! This little boy is going to be so spoiled :)

OH! and BG people - expect an invite sometime soon via facebook for the BG baby shower. March 26th is the tentative date :)

We're thinking sometime in mid/late May for the Dayton baby shower. We'll keep everyone posted.
