my, my, my.. where to even begin!
Time is flying by - today marks the start of my 3rd trimester.. the big 28 weeks. only 12 left, holy moly! Also only 5 weeks till Z moves back home :)
So we'll get started with the BG baby shower we had last weekend.. thanks to my bff Aimee for an awesome dinner Friday night and the amazingly excessive amount of baby stuff :)
Plus Saturday's shower.... I can't BELIEVE how much stuff we got for Wyatt.. Some baby books - including the hit Everyone Poops from Zack's roommate (haha), diapers galore, VERY cute outfits, bath time stuff, and other baby gear items :) We seriously feel so grateful to have such awesome friends that are so supportive. It means the world.. thank you so much everyone :) When I got home Sunday night, my mom and aunt literally had tears in their eyes looking through everything!
I can't even pick a favorite part of the shower.. between Marcia (my old roommate) showing up from Indy despite it being her birthday weekend, Chrissy reading Everyone Poops, and Karen (our starbucks manager) telling everyone women get turned on to the scent of baby powder.. hahaha
Zack said one of his favorites was when Kaitlin told him he looked like a dad for drinking Bud Heavy and wearing khakis, lol... and another was when Karen made some condom remark toward the boys, calling them raincoats hahaha
I'm sure you can tell we had a great time :D
So then the weekend came to an end, and I started my week of hell: work at the school Monday-Friday, and BLowe's Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat.... but in the middle of it all on Wednesday morning, we had a little scare..
I woke up in the morning and went to the bathroom and was very surprised to see a toilet full of blood.. I'm not talking spotting, I'm talking.. red water, scary amount of blood.. So I called my doctor and they had me go to the hospital for a STAT ultrasound to see what was going on. Turns out, everything is just peachy and it could have been an internal hemorrhoid that passed... or from intercourse, they aren't sure.. hahah.. awkward..
So the point of this story is that when I went back to work then, everyone (at the school) was all worried and what not.. Apparently I was the talk of the teacher's lounge. So they are all in there at lunch asking me a billion questions, being nosy.. and one asks, "So what did the doctor even tell you?" Me, not being the type of person that likes to share my business to just anyone - even though I have a blog the world can read - blurts out, "She said I should just be a little less rough during intercourse."
hahaha... the looks on their faces were priceless. I doubt I'll be getting any more questions any time soon.
Let's see... what else did I want to catch up on.... Oh! So I know why pregnant women waddle. It's because it always feels like you're going to pee your pants!! I even made a mental note today that I should probably start carrying extra clothes jusssst in case I don't make it to the bathroom one time, haha.. That and there is indescribable amounts of pressure on your pelvis.. I seriously feel like I've been on the biggest horse in the world for 3 days straight.
On that happy note, the upcoming baby showers' tentative dates are: Sunday, May 15th for the Dayton shower, and Saturday, May 21st for the Fletcher shower. We'll keep posted, but those are about 80% set.
I feel like I had so much more to write about, but I'm starting to get super tired. My schedule over the next couple weeks isn't as hectic as it has been - so I'll update with some fun blogs here soon :)
Till then, here's the latest picture of munch -
gooooodnight!
