big boy bath & professional pictures :)

It's funny how you do things without even realizing or meaning to.. This morning I was walking the dogs through the fields, when Gus found a dead mouse & picked it up in his mouth. Without missing a beat I said, "Gus.. put that down, that's' ucky!"... totally in the voice that I talk to Wyatt in, hahah. As soon as I said it I thought to myself, "Great.. you're such a 'mom' now." hahah!

So Wyatt had his two-week checkup, where he weighed in at 7lbs, 11oz.... after he peed twice on the nurse (hahaha). But within a couple days of his birth - he dropped down to 6lbs 12oz and the pediatrician was concerned about his weight gain and suggested we supplement with formula. After a couple days of that nonsense, he was eating so much while he nursed that he wouldn't even take the formula bottle when he was finished so we stopped. I was very relieved that he had gained back his birth weight and then some! As far as length, he also lost some b/c his cone head swelling went away - so now he's 20 and 3/4 inches. He still looks like a little monkey though :)

 

Great-Grandma Fortener

Yesterday was a pretty busy day for us..  we had lunch with my Grandma Fortener, visited Zack's mom & sister, his cousin Brad and Aunt Jackie, and swung by the Amvets to visit with Zack's dad for a bit. Munchkin was a champ all day! Aside from projectile vomiting all over Grandma Terri, he was very content all day just sleeping or watching the world. And getting compliments, of course. Some random lady at Applebee's told Zack and me that we make beautiful kids. Which is funny b/c we were jokingly discussing how cute our kids would be way before we even starting dating!

As promised, here's a  little snipet of Wyatt's first big boy bath... 

 He loves his baths for the most part.. the water and especially having his hair washed.. He just tends to get fussy if its chilly, but who can blame him? No one likes the cold after a nice hot shower!
